In an interview with Dr. Drew on CNN entitled “How men and women view porn,” Gail Dines Professor of Sociology at Wheelock College states “Today porn is the most profound form of sex education that exists in our society.” She makes the point that at an early age nowadays, often before a young man ever has his first sexual experience, he searches the web for porn. This can be where he begins to form his opinions about attraction and sexuality.

In the same interview with Dr. Drew, porn star and director/producer Stormy Daniels says that more and more, women are using porn as an aid to learn new sex tips as a way to keep their sex lives exciting with their partner.

Though both women being interviewed were on opposite sides of the spectrum as far as the perceived effects of porn, it appears as though they agreed on one fact; porn can be used as a tool to learn about your sexuality as well as to shape your sex life.
